Ma.Vi.’s EtherCAT Slave Modular System, on Omega bar (Ω DIN EN50022), is today composed by 6 modules with configurable features and advanced functions, and it is countinuosly growing. It was born from deep experience in plants requirements and offers high flexibility together with precision and modularity. All input/output signals to/from modules have less than 10 µSec delay with respect to the EtherCAT packet sent by the Master. The Slave Modular System can be driven by any EtherCAT Master (TwinCAT, Ma.Vi. mvPMC eCAT, others).
Here is a short description of modules (click on the abbrevation for full description):
1) Bus Coupler : mvTBI-EBC
2 RJ45 bus connection with bypass function in case of power off. It interfaces and powers following modules through E-bus. 2) Analog Input : mvTBI-E8AI
8 independent analog input channels, individually configurable on: ±10V, ±5V, 0-10V, 0-5V, 4-20mA, 0-20mA, ±10mA, ±20mA. 16-bit resolution for unipolar inputs. 3) Analog Output: mvTBI-E4AO
4 independent analog output channels, individually configurable on: ±10V, ±5V, 0-10V, 0-5V, 4-20mA, 0-20mA,
±10mA, ±20mA. 16-bit resolution for unipolar outputs. 4) Digital Input Output : mvTBI-E8DIO
8 digital input channels (4 inputs 24V and 4 inputs 5V) and 8 digital output channels (4 outputs 24V and 4 outputs 5V). Inputs at 5V can acquire Sink or TTL signals. Outputs at 5V can be configured as OpenCollector or Totem-Pole. 5)Encoder/SSI Interface: mvTBI-E4ES
4
independent acquisition channels individually configurable. Available
input mode: SSI or QIE (Quadrature Incremental Encoder) or TPE (Two
Pulse Encoder). 32 bit counter for quadrature encoder.
6) Power Repeater: mvTBI-EPWE Power Expansion for Field and E-Bus power. Field Voltage supplied: 24V 5%. Field Max Current supplied: 10A. E-Bus Voltage supplied 2A. No configuration required. Trasparent for EtherCAT Master.
The strong point of slaves is total configurability: EtherCAT's Master can set up
each slave by Mailbox.
Ma.Vi. has developed a mezzanine-card, mvPMC-DSW, on bus PCI, in
which EtherCAT Master has been implemented; moreover the same board can
produce also other communication protocols. |
